Language Translation Software

Language translation is more art than science. The often ambiguous nature of human language is such that even highly trained human translators are sometimes in doubt about the exact translation of some words and/or phrases within a particular context. While computers are wonderful at dealing with numbers, language is, in many, many ways, much more complex. No machine translator in the world can produce translations as accurate as an experienced, well trained human translator. The best one can normally expect from any machine translator in the world is to obtain the gist of a piece of text or what some might refer to as a "draft translation".

Sometimes, and for some people, expectations and the reality of language translation software are worlds apart. Unfortunately, no matter what some may claim, Star Trek's "Universal Translator" remains science fiction. Consequently, we have attempted to provide all pertinent product information so as to provide you with as much information as possible when contemplating a purchase of one of our language translation software products.

How to Order

You may order Delta Translator:

_Online — use our Secure Online Order system 24 hours per day, seven day per week. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover credit cards. We've taken every precaution to protect your sensitive data by using the secure Miva® Merchant™ online order system. All personal and credit card information you enter is encrypted before being transmitted using SSL 3.0, RC4 with 128 bit encryption and, in turn, encrypted within the Miva® Merchant™ order system itself.

We do not recommend that you send any order containing credit card information via regular e-mail. We make every effort to ensure that all orders received on normal business days before 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time are processed and shipped the same day. Orders received after 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time will be processed and shipped the next business day. Orders received after hours and/or on weekends or holidays will not be processed and/or shipped until the next normal business day. Online orders received from Brazil and elsewhere in South America may be be processed in and/or shipped from Brazil.

We reserve the right to hold, cancel or decline to process any order should we determine that the order information provided is insufficient and/or fails to match information from credit card issuers and/or other sources or fails to meet our strict verification standards and credit card fraud avoidance procedures.

We only use the personal information you provide to process your order and/or to clarify information about your order should we require it. We never sell, share or otherwise disseminate names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses or other personal information to any other company or individual as part of any mailing or solicitation list. We never sell, trade or otherwise share any of the personal information of our customers. We never send any "spam" e-mail, however, in the past we have been the victim of spammers who "spoof" a DELTATRANSLATOR.COM address to use in their spamming campaigns. In such cases, "spam" e-mail appears to be sent from DELTATRANSLATOR.COM  when it, in fact, was not sent by us.

Our online Miva® Merchant™ ordering system uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) with 128 bit encryption and uses a combination of Blowfish (128-bit keys) and RSA (1024-bit keys) where each order is issued a randomly generated key, essentially the same system that is used by banks to provide online banking services. All transactions are secure when you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 (or higher) or Netscape Navigator 3.0 (or higher) or any compatible Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) browser. After your order is processed, all your personal and credit card information is permanently deleted from the secure server.

Payment Options

 

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover cards. Credit cards are only charged when we are assured your shipment can be made the same day your card is charged and order is processed.   We do not accept purchase orders, wire transfer orders, personal or company checks, or C.O.D. (cash on delivery) orders because of too many costly experiences in the past. Please accept our apologies.

Payment of Applicable Taxes

If your Bill To address is in the state of Colorado, we are required to collect state sales tax as well as any applicable county and/or regional sales taxes. If your Bill To address is outside the state of Colorado, we do not collect state, county, city or local sales or other taxes, however, you are personally responsible for any and all sales or other taxes which may be due and payable to your state, county, city or other local taxing authority.

If the Ship To  address is outside the United States, the recipient is personally responsible for the payment of any and all import and/or customs duties, taxes, VAT and/or taxes which may be due to the "ship to" country. If delivery is inadvertently made without the payment of such customs duties, VAT and/or other taxes, your order constitutes your implied agreement that we may charge you at a future date for such taxes, VAT and/or customs duties in the event we are consequently charged for such at a later date.

Sales Terms & Conditions

By placing an order online at DELTATRANSLATOR.COM, or via fax or telephone, you agree to accept all terms and conditions set forth here and elsewhere on our web site. After you place an order, Delta Translator USA, at its sole discretion, will determine whether or not to honor your order and may refuse to process and fulfill your order if it in any way fails to meet our strict verification standards and credit card fraud avoidance procedures. You may be requested to provide additional information or documentation via fax, e-mail, telephone or other form of electronic communication before we will accept, process and/or fulfill your order. Additionally, all orders must be made using an acceptable form of payment and provide sufficient contact or other information that will allow us to fully comply with our strict verification standards and credit card fraud avoidance procedures.

All orders absolutely require a valid e-mail address and telephone number. If e-mail notifications we send pertaining to the order are returned to us as "undeliverable", we reserve the right to place the order on hold or cancel it altogether. The Bill To address of all orders must exactly match the address on record for the credit card used or we cannot process and ship your order. This address is the address where you receive your credit statement or bill. Additionally, we reserve the right to decline any order we deem to have a risk of fraud, for example, one with a Bill To address in one country and a Ship To address in another.

Successful completion of an online, fax or telephone order and/or your receipt of an order confirmation from us do not necessarily signify our acceptance of your order. Any such confirmation should only be construed as being a notification that we have received your order and will review and act upon it in a timely manner in accordance with our posted procedures. Our acknowledgment of your order via any form of order confirmation should in no way be construed as any form of contract nor our ultimate acceptance of your order, but only a record of your offer to purchase a specific product (or products) at a given price and to be shipped via a particular type of delivery service.

Delta Translator USA is not responsible for any costs or fees incurred by you as a result of any purchase or attempted purchase on our web site, regardless of the reason or reasons, including, but not limited to, any credit card processing fees, charges or surcharges, over credit limit fees, credit card finance charges, customs duties, sales taxes, V.A.T., etc.. Orders with a Bill To address in the state of Colorado are subject to Colorado state sales tax and, depending upon the specific location and address, may also be subject to other applicable county, city and/or regional sales taxes. Such sales taxes will automatically be added to the order without further notice.

Product Packaging

Delta Translator is shipped with everything you would normally receive with a standard, software product in a cardboard box but without the cardboard box itself. In reality, the traditional software box is a relic of a bygone era when software was only sold in brick and mortar stores. Traditionally boxed software served two purposes for stores: (1) it provided an eye-catching display and, (2) it helped reduce the incidences of shoplifting and theft due to the size of software box itself. Because DELTATRANSLATOR.COM is an online, Internet retailer, these justifications don't apply.

So what's the advantage of this reduced packaging? It's simple, it reduces the size and weight of the packaging and, consequently, the cost of shipping. It also reduces the need for wasteful cardboard boxes because most people throw them away as soon as the software is installed. By not using a traditional cardboard box, we are able to offer lower costs, while at the same time lessening the amount of trash. This inevitably helps preserve our natural resources.

Active Controls & User Activated Pop-up Windows

Some pages on DELTATRANSLATOR.COM use java script active controls to display some information and/or certain graphic images. In spite of any warning your computer may display about active controls, the java script active controls used on DELTATRANSLATOR.COM will not harm your computer if you allow them to run. On some pages, DELTATRANSLATOR.COM also utilizes pop-up windows that are controlled or activated only by you. Product Guarantee

Within fifteen days of the purchase date, we will replace any defective, damaged or uninstallable CD-ROM. If you believe that the CD you received is defective (because it will not install, is broken, etc.), please e-mail us. If a replacement CD-ROM is sent, the defective CD-ROM must be returned. We will provide specific return instructions.

Good source text is clearly written, easily understood and concise.

Unlike other merchandise, computer software can continue to be used even if the CD-ROM is returned. Our distribution agreement with the publisher precludes the return of any software product received by an end user. Consequently, just as with most software stores in the United States and elsewhere, once the Delta Translator program package has been received, it cannot be returned.
