If your computer uses a Windows® version other than American English and/or is set up for English other than American English, you may not see an English interface (buttons, interactive messages. etc.) and/or Delta Translator's help file in English after installing Delta Translator 3.0 English< >Brazilian Portuguese. To easily and quickly resolve this issue:
1. Using Windows® Explorer, open the C:\Program Files\Micropower Software\Delta Translator 3.0 directory—so that you can view all the files in the Delta Translator 3.0 directory. You will need to have the ability to view the FILE EXTENSIONS of all listed files (e.g. ".exe", ".dll", ".ini", ".txt", ".doc", etc.) and also change (rename) the FILE EXTENSION right there in Windows® Explorer itself. Note: If your computer uses the Windows® XP operating system, please see Microsoft's information about how to do this at: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;307859&product=winxp.
2. In Windows® Explorer, click the Type "button" (if you have enabled this option) on the very top right hand side of the screen (where individual files in the directory are displayed) and this will sort all the files in the directory by their type or (in other words) their extension.
3. Find the following FIVE files with the extension .ENU displayed on the right side of the Windows® Explorer window in the C:\Program Files\Micropower Software\Delta Translator 3.0 directory.
REGISTER.ENU
DWINTRSL.ENU
DTransl.ENU
DTLink.ENU
DeltaWeb.ENU
4.
Change
the .ENU extension
of each of these FIVE files you see displayed in Windows®
Explorer itself to=>
one of the following extensions (depending upon which version of English
Windows® your system uses):
|
Great Britain
=>
|
Change the extension_.ENU to=> | .ENG |
|
Canada =>
|
_Change the extension .ENU to=> | .ENC |
|
Australia
=>
|
_Change the extension_.ENU to=> | .ENA |
|
New Zealand
=>
|
_Change the extension_.ENU to=> | .ENZ |
|
Ireland
=>
|
_Change the extension_.ENU to=> | .ENI |
|
South Africa
=>
|
_Change the extension_.ENU to=> | .ENS |
Be careful NOT to change any other part of the file name and maintain the extension in all UPPERCASE. Also be careful NOT to eliminate the "." (point or dot) immediately before the three letter extension. As you change each of these files, Windows will "nag" you to verify that you REALLY want to change the extension. Yes, you do!
5.
Reboot
the computer.
